Sasquatch...we know your love is real!

My name's Andrew (people call me Sas), I go to OU. Here's a random Disclaimer: anything remotely profound is completely unintentional and if it offends you...sorry. Also, If I do say something profound, I hope that it is God, and not me, speaking, as I certainly haven't got anything profound to say (at least not that I know of)

Books

Finished the Belgariad a little bit ago, and just yesterday finished the Chronicles of Narnia (an excellent book series, all should read this one) and now...I don't have anything else to read. How can I possibly survive this week without reading material? ....we'll just have to see.

If you have any suggestions for good book series...post 'em!

Finals?!?!?!

what! we have finals next week?!?!?! and nobody told me?!?!

yea so that's about me right now, scrambling to study for finals...and then gone for the summer, at which point everyone should just stop paying attention to this adress till about....September..maybe...

other random info: Neon Genesis Evangelion, while a beautiful anime, is really messed up. Rurouni Kenshin is harder to draw than first he appears....its the hair, i swear! I can get the rest of him, but the hair isn't drawn the way i usually draw hair. Monday crosswords here are harder than the rest of the week. Maybe they're trying to make up for not having a Sunday crossword.

Mitch Hedburg is hillarious. I saw him on Wednesday night and couldn't stop laughing all throughout his show.

Later all,

Sas

and afterwards

....so im applying for the RA position, right? and now im getting more worried by the second as I haven't gotten a call or a letter. Now i still have a few options in this area....1) my roomie got the call and he hasn't told me yet (he's asleep right now) 2) they haven't called yet or 3) (distinctly trying to avoid this possiblity) i didn't get the job.
okay so now begins the waiting game.

Oh yea, sorry for the wait y'all. Hope you had a happy easter and remembered the real reason we celebrate it. (not that chocolate is bad mind you).

Peace out!

Back at School

yes, that's right, I'm back again...sorry for the delay

Last night, I thought I did a pretty good deed, as I helped one of my friends who had been having a week that would not have been described as "the best" feel better. She came round to my room to watch....Gundam Wing. PLEASE, HOLD BACK ON THE ANTI-ANIME COMMENTS. anyways, back from break, and yes, I got my hair cut....I estimate I lost at least 4 inches, and yes, I still have a fair bit of hair on my head. Tests this week, and next week, and yea, its back to the same ol' same ol'.

Speaking of Anime, the ones I currently like at the moment are Rurouni Kenshin, Trigun, Gundam Wing, Cowboy Bebop, and Outlaw Star....if you have any others to recomend, I will gladly listen (in most cases).     (Right now in Kenshin,  I am just past the Hiten Mitsurugi Usurper part of the series, past Shishio for those who don't quite know where I mean).

got some cds for the big one-nine b-day, and am enjoying them....saw condition zero released earlier today for the computer; it looked pretty nice, but not exactly groundbreaking in any way.....finally got the date set for my interview for the RA position; yay!......and that's it for the streamer for now....oh yea, FFX-2 is not half-bad; which is to say its pretty good

And Shepherds we shall be, for Thee my LORD for Thee
Power hath descended forth from Thy hand,
That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command.
So we shall flow a river forth to Thee,
And teeming with souls shall it ever be.
In nomine Patri et Fili, et Spiritus Sanctus

see you at the same bat-time, same bat-channel

The Passion

wow, I got back from seeing The Passion this afternoon. wow. I still can't get over it. It is such an awesome movie. one word of caution, however....don't eat before you see it. It is definitely one of the most graphic films I have ever seen. The entire movie was flawless however. I cannot think of a single way to portray any of the scenes differently. I just can't say enough about this movie. I am awestruck, and that's all there is to say.

Good night, God Bless, and Peace out all.

Fire Alarms and other grievances

sorry for the delay, things have been hectic.

Aight, so we had three fire alarms this weekend. One of them was at a moderately civil time (7PM). The other two were unexcusable. Both occured at 7AM. What kind of deranged mind sets a fire alarm off at 7 in the morning. I heard that the first fire alarm went off because people were smoking on 2. why the second went off, I have no clue. It better not be those same people. The other thing I have to say on this subject is WHY WERE THEY SMOKING AT 7 ANYWAY?!?!?!

Okay, so aside from that, test results are coming. One bright spot in my life, thankfully. I've been making A's (although I don't have results from the Econ test, that comes here in a few). Managing to finish a paper wasn't so hard, especially since it's 3 pages, double spaced.

And now, the important news for the day. Ash Wednesday, the day that marks the beginning of Lent. I am going to give up Caffinated Beverages. That's it, now it's out. I'm basically drinking Water for the next 40 days. But, it's for an important cause, so I can make it.

By the way, the University Bookstore has CDs marked 75% off, so if you think there's a chance they might have something you like, pop in there and see. buying a CD for $4 is quite nice, I did it a lot last semester.

May you all be blessed on this Holy Day.

Tests

well, the college system again evades my understanding. I got a 89% on my math test, which puts me firmly in the "A" range for the course. Yes, I know, an 89 shouldn't be an A. Here's the thing. We have a teacher with an insane grading scale. 70-100 is an A. yeah. the other grades are similarly skewed. So my friend who got a 48%, still has a "C".  That's One thing. The other is in my Geography class. I make an 89 on that test too. (starting to see a patern here? well, don't cuz I intend to change it.) Now, apparently, we have two different atlases that we can use for this class. However, there's a slight discrepancy between the two, a discrepancy that cause whoever used the Rand McNally Atlas to miss a point on the map quiz (the Rand McNally Atlas says Yugoslavia, the other one says something else, I forget what). Also, due to a misprint on the test, the answers to one question read A B B C. Now some  people decided to just ignore that and go A B C D, like it should have been. The dumb people decided that it would be awesome to put down whatever was next to it, so they treated it like A B B C. What kind of idiot do you have to be to do that?!?! Anyway, it appears that due to these mistakes, I get two points back. I got a 91%. wow. I don't understand it either, but when it improves my grade, I don't complain.

I've got another test here in a few hours, so we'll see how that goes too. This one is awesome too. This class is RA Training. and either you take it lower division or upper division. The difference? only in the tests (and the amount paid of course). So here I am, taking it lower division, while everyone around me seems to be taking it upper division. They have to write essays, I don't. I sure feel glad I'm lower division.

Later all, gotta study for the test, TTYL.

What happens when you get one hour of sleep?....

...running on little sleep here, so I'll try and make it quick.

I was really stupid last night and stayed up until 7:00 playing poker and watching Poolhall Junkies. Went to bed at 8:00. Woke up at 9:00 for church. Managed not to fall asleep in church (and believe me, I was at the point where if I had fallen over and landed on the ground, I wouldn't have gotten up. I would have been out cold). Played Legendary for the first time on Halo. Finished Deception Point this afternoon. If I weren't for the fact I was running on one hour of sleep, I would have called it a productive day. But I was and so I won't . so there.

Lent is right around the corner and so I'm like I'll give up something for Lent too! not sure what yet. Probably I'll end up giving up all caffinated drinks for lent. (I tried that last lent. It was hard, but I did it). Course, there are a lot of caffinated drinks available on campus, so that kinda cuts down on my drink selection. I think I'm down to water....water....and....water. Yeah. That's gonna be me for the whole of Lent. Well, I think it's important to do things like this. So I do. (big surprise there, actually acting on my tastes/preferences) (that last one was for all econ majors. I HAVEN'T CHANGED THEM! I'M ONLY ACTING ON THEM!)

Profound statements abound here so that's my cue to leave.

Later gang.
