so far, safewalk has turned out to be like my first semester at ZAP: nobody at all uses it (while I'm there). We haven't even made one trip yet. Oh well. Traded in my CD player at Best Buy today because the headphones didn't work, so now I have a nice new CD player. YAY! I do have an essay due in Perspectives next week, so it won't be a good weekend, methinks, but I do get to play racketball for the first time ever with my old roommate Bill tomorrow. Plus, I'm helping out at the Karaoke program tomorrow. (No, I'm not singing, I set up). we watched Blade and I, Robot in the Safewalk office while we were just sitting there, so we had a decent time. It's just a few weeks in and already I can't wait for another break. Anyways, I gotta run, later all.

okay, time for a music update
I'm doin as the title suggests. My current playlist is quite a bit shorter than the last one, but whatever. 1. Pink Floyd - Hey You 2. Phil Collins - In the Air Tonight 3. Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb 4. David Bowie - Life On Mars? 5. David Bowie - Modern Love 6. Blue Oyster Cult - (Don't Fear) The Reaper 7. Led Zeppelin - Living Loving Maid (She's Just a Woman) 8. Led Zeppelin - Ramble On 9. Led Zeppelin - All My Love 10. Led Zeppelin - Over the Hills and Far Away 11. Yes - Roundabout 12. Genesis - Alien Afternoon 13. Pink Floyd - High Hopes 14. Oasis - Champagne Supernova
Okay, so yea, it's just over an hour in length, but then, that means more good stuff, doesn't it? I'm rereading the Chronicles of Narnia (again!), and it gets cooler everytime I read it. (Don't even try and throw that kid story stuff at me, I'll shove it right down your throat). Anyways, it's a short update this time, so I'm off. Later all. Woke up in the morning, staggered out of bed, thought about getting back again, but went downstairs instead. read the daily paper, have to know the truth. Slammed the door as I ran out side, looked at my watch and cried: gotta get to work on time. gotta get to work on time.

Pink Floyd is playing + random discussions
currently playing: Pink Floyd
I've been watching my friends play FFXI quite a bit recently, which got me thinking....with the complete free trade in the economy, there is quite a bit of money to be made by arbitrage. This of course got me thinking about all sorts of economics-type things. None of which I can currently remember. Anyways, the economy presents all sorts of opportunities for financial gain in game. All it takes is patience, research, and the courage to see what needs to be done. It really is a lot like playing the stock market and supply and demand at the same time. You watch the market for trends in prices, see when prices are high, and when they are low, and when the demand is high and when the demand is low. Then you follow the classic principle of buy low, sell high. pretty quickly, you can be rolling in it.
I was also discussing with a friend of mine the possible of certain infinities being larger than other infinities. It was quite an interesting mathematically theoretical discussion, but also involved quite a bit of suppositions. It was really just something to kill time, so I won't repeat all that much of it here. On the nature of discussions, I am reminded of one of my "logical" inferences. It began with the comment by one of my friends that she only eats donuts on sundays every other week that she runs. I responded that I eat donuts every sunday anyway. Furthermore, I would (and do) eat donuts sunday morning regardless of whether I run. Therefore, since I'm eating donuts anyway, there is no point in running in the morning. This means that I get to sleep in more, so I can go to bed later. Now if I'm going to bed later, I can be playing more videogames. This just goes to illustrate how eating donuts sunday morning helps you play more videogames the previous saturday night.
Also, SNOW!! yes, that's right, we had snow here at OU. something that almost never happens. we actually had snowball fights, and built snowmen on campus. (I didn't partake very much in either, sadly)
well, that's it for now, but I *should* be back soon. Later all

another update long in the making
yes, yes, I know, that once again....I took an insanely long time to post something new. However, it is update time, so pay attention, there'll be a lot of stuff coming by really quickly.
First, I am now a Safewalk RA. I work on Sunday nights, so if you need someone to walk back to the dorms with or something, call safewalk. Second, due to circumstances beyond my control (namely, me getting chosen for safewalk), I moved rooms, and now have a single room with a bathroom all to myself. This *might* not be a big deal for some of you, but for me, it is. Third, New classes! *mock enthusiasm* Okay, so I'm taking Japanese II, Discrete Math, Intermediate Price Theory, and Honors Perspectives: Buying and Selling in America.
and right about now, my brain kinda shuts down, and I have run out of things to update you on. It might have something to do with the fact I just woke up. anyways, I guess that's about it. I'll ttyl.

ok, so i'm really lazy...as if you couldn't tell. Sorry about the no updates in FOREVER!!!! I have been distracted by school and football and .... okay that's it. I just mainly sit around when I could be doing other stuff. Classes are going well, so everything's fine on that end....OU is in the middle of that BCS thing again....annoying is the mildest term that comes to mind. In other news, It's almost Thanksgiving!!!!
OK, so I'm getting a little excited.
I am incredibly tired right now, so my brain is not coming out on the screen effectively. So, that's gonna wrap it up for me.
BOOMER SOONER!!!

well, the results from yesterday's test are in: a 97%. *phew* I totally was making that test harder than it needed to be before I got in there. (see entry about tests several months back). that means now I can study for my japanese test without worry (yea right). Actually, what it means is that I will be able to enjoy my weekend road trip much better. You want more information about what I'm doing you say? well here goes.
Friday: Do Japanese Homework that is due on Monday Saturday: Go to Oregon Game, watch Sooners continue their rampage. Drive with a buddy back home. Sunday: Drive from there with my dad and friend up to KC. Watch Chiefs play the Panthers. (hopefully beat the Panthers). Drive back down to OU.
So that about sums up what my weekend will be. I am definitely looking forward to it.
See Ya Later!!

yes, that's right. I am back....after 5 years in seclusion with the Beastie Boys, I have returned!!!! The Sasquatch Cometh!!!!
All seriousness aside, time for the update. I am heading up to KC from down here at OU this saturday to watch the Chiefs play the Panthers. It's gonna be awesome!!! My roomate recently forked out for a gamecube, so now we have a new system, as opposed to oldschoolin' it on the 64. OU football is doing well, and my semester's been going ok. I have a test today, so i'm a bit pissed right now, but there's nothing I can do about it. Japanese is awesome, Econ is going well, Diff Eq and Linear Algebra are both fine, and Managerial Accounting is currently the bane of my existance. I hate that class. I will not rant about it (yet).
uhhh....
music: Rammstein, Linkin Park, Metallica and Blind Guardian are all rockin out on my cd player currently...
dvds: Kill Bill 1 and 2, the entirity of Gundam Wing (which I found for $20!!!!!) and the live Linkin Park dvd make appearances
video games: Metroid Prime, SSB Melee, Doubledash, and Sonic are all taking this prize
....
guess it's time to find that grindstone and start studying again.....
Later all

well, since I'm here, I guess I'll go ahead and update.
over the summer I have been working.
I went to Toronto last week to watch Liverpool play soccer and have a family vacation.
I have been going to church and college age every week.
I have not bought a new car.
My CD drive and hard drive for my computer need to be replaced real quickly.
I have bought a bunch of cds, books, and movies.
that's about it!
hope to be back at OU really soon!
see you all then!
Later, gang.

okay...I said no over the summer posts, but this is too cool not to share. I have a cutout of this picture taped to my moniter at work. So while I was away from my computer, one of my coworkers comes in and apparantly has been having a terrible day, until she sees this picture. She said that seeing it encouraged her. The cool part is that I am encouraged through encouraging her. It was really cool to know that I can encourage people by doing simple things, it doesn't have to be very much. totally cool.

so finals have come and gone (I say this while I still have one final left), and summer has arrived. It's about this time that the real reality sets in. Much as I hate doing homework, or quizes, or getting up at 9:30, I'm going to miss college. When I go home, I won't be able to go online at all times, won't be able to make random BK runs at all hours of the day, chill with my friends by walking down the hall, work out at the gym right across the street, or anything that we take for granted. In fact, when I go back home, I get to go straight to work on Monday, and probably won't stop until the week I move back in here. So that's the situation with summer. Also, this is more than likely the last update for a while...so....don't go around expecting week-in, week-out updates of my break. It ain't gonna happen.
Well, that's it for me, so I'll catch you later. Peace out all.
Alia Iacta Est.
